Hi! My name is Sarah and I run my small but busy Interior Design business from my home studio in Lichfield, Staffordshire, which I share with my husband, 3 offspring and our bonkers Sprocker Spaniel, Dylan.
My business evolved into what it is today purely by accident - I started out by producing artwork and wedding favours whilst my children were young, however after attending a furniture painting course I started painting a few pieces for a few friends, until one day one of them asked me to redesign their bedroom… and so began my career in design!
I still offer some specialist furniture painting and often incorporate this into my designs, it can help to maintain budgets whilst providing a unique, bespoke piece, however I now specialise in made to measure curtains and blinds, having been trained by my lovely mentor Linda who has over 40 years' experience in this field - all of the window treatments shown have been made by myself and/or Linda. Much of my consultancy work is based around this, with me finding and recommending suitable fabrics, colours and treatments.
